UW-Biotech Center staff from 3 core facilities attended the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Association of Biomolecular Resource Facilities (ABRF). It was held May 6-10th in Boston, MA. The ABRF Annual Meeting is an international program that provides timely updates on cutting-edge science and its execution in a shared resource/core facility setting. These meetings also offer informative and practical workshops as well as ample networking opportunities with academics, corporate, and technology partner colleagues. Attendees were Youngha Kim (GEC), Lauren Wells (GEC), Sandra Splinter BonDurant (GEC), Molly Zeller (DNA), Dustin Rubinstein (GEAM). Sandra was invited to speak on a panel called Customer/Core Disagreements & Disputes: An Open Discussion. Molly was invited to speak at a PacBio event. The title of the talk was Applications Made Possible By PacBio. Dustin was on two panels: Digital PCR—Applications, Challenges, and Use in a Core Setting and Genome Editing Cores and Best Practices. The UW-Biotech Center is an institutional member of ABRF and center employees are active members of the association.
