Molly Zeller (Lab Manager, DNA Sequencing) was invited to give a lecture on DNA sequencing technologies at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) in Cold Spring Harbor, New York on October 16th, 2022. The lecture was a part of the Programming For Biology Course that was held at CSHL October 10-25th, 2022. Course participants were scientists that had little to no programming experience and learned all about the “bioinformatic and scripting skills needed to derive biological insights from the abundance of data”. Molly’s lecture informed the course participants about the DNA sequencing technologies in 2022, how the data is generated, and what to look for to generate awesome data.
