Natural Areas Video Wins Two Awards

A recent video about UW-MadisonÕs Campus Natural Areas has won two awards this spring.
ÒUniversity Wild!Ó earned a silver Telly Award for non-broadcast film and video production. Established in 1980, Telly awards recognize outstanding non-network and cable TV commercials, films and video productions across the country. Entries are judged on individual merit, and the silver Telly goes to those that score highest.
The UW-Madison video also won a silver Remi Award from Worldfest-Houston, an annual international competition hosted by the Houston Film Society.
ÒUniversity Wild!Ó was produced last year by the Gaylord Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies and Worthwhile Films of Poynette, with financial support from the Brittingham Trust and the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences.
The 18-minute video takes viewers on a memorable tour of natural areas including Picnic Point, the Howard Temin Lakeshore Path, Eagle Heights Gardens and Woods, the Biocore Prairie, and the Class of 1918 Marsh, all within the boundaries of the campus.
